Happy Friday, Block Clubbers,

For many of us, this has been the first full week back at work after the holiday sprint that closes out the year — and it’s safe to say: TGIF.

A South Loop bike lane project has been paused; some lanes have been removed as officials reassess. Ald. Pat Dowell said she asked the city to pause the project on 18th Street between Clark and Indiana after some residents raised safety and mobility concerns, and she’s working with CDOT to address them. Chicago had its rainiest January day in 50 years. Thursday’s storm saw nearly 2 inches of rainfall in just a few hours, flooding streets and canceling the Bulls game at the United Center. Read more

Thanks, as always, for spending time with us.
